The Legend of Expedition Soaked

 —Told true by a lady who’s handled a barrel or two.

They say every bottle’s got a story ~ and this one’s soaked in grit, gumption and grapes.

Years back, a sharp-shootin’ food scientist from Delaware Valley College traded her lab coat for leather boots and the sweet smell of fermentin’ fruits.  Set out to carve a life with more time for her young’ins. No more punching clocks and following someone else’s trail, just wide open skies and a dream of building something worth passin’ down. She came a ridin’ into Berks County, a whoopin’ and a whompin’ and wrangled her first wines from nothin’ but local fruit and sheer will.

But the frontier had more in store. With her trusty steed Asher by her side and a fire in her heart, she made the trek back to Lehigh Township in 2019. There, on a patch of land pretty enough to make a cowboy forget how to spit, she set up her new homestead, a rustic haven that’s part winery, part watering hole, and all heart. 

Now don’t go thinkin’ it was all smooth ridin’. Gettin’ them doors open was harder than makin’ a drunk cowboy walk a straight line, thanks to all the hoops and hollers from the lawmen and the ledger-keepers. But she held steady. Through the trials came triumphs, friendships forged, lessons learned, and a winery that feels like a place where you want to kick off your boots, shoot the breeze and sit a spell.  And while her roots run deep in Pennsylvania soil, her sights’ve stretched westward, sourcin’ grapes from the far reaches of the new frontier to craft bold blends and frontier favorites. 

That journey stirred up somethin’ more: a hankerin’ to craft bolder wines and share ’em with folks who appreciate a fine pour and a fair deal. So she tipped her hat to all the cowpokes with good taste and a thirst for somethin’ finer, and set out to blaze a new trail ~ one that led straight to the heart of Expedition Soaked, a wine club for those willin’ to ride along. This club is for the trailblazers of taste, those with a thirst for somethin’ real, a love of good wine, and a spirit rooted in curiosity, not convention.
